Scientists in Australia are now focusing their efforts on reducing its nation’s greenhouse emissions while developing more earth friendly energy technology. They want to find other energy sources than petroleum, coal, and other finite sources of energy that can damage the climate and landscape with its harvest and use.

Australian scientists are urging immediate action in developing this technology because the nation’s population continues to swell. In the next 45 years, the Australian population is expected to rise to over 35 million people. Scientists believe that it will become imperative for the nation to utilize renewable sources of energy and lessen the nation’s usage of carbon based energy sources like coal and petroleum.

Scientists are campaigning for the scientific community to focus their efforts on the nation’s renewable sources of energy, namely the wind, sun, and water. They are asking that the nation invest in wind farms, solar panels for private homes and businesses, and dams that will provide renewable energy without endangering Australia’s beautiful landscape and climate. These sources of energy stand to better sustain the nation’s population as well in comparison to carbon based energy.
